Edinburgh Festival &Tour 2007

From Marlene Deitrich to Motown, from Flanders Field to Gracie Fields, and Flower Power to Guns'n'Roses, this one-woman show features popular songs of love, protest, propaganda, humour and hope sung in wartime.  Presented in cabaret style, these songs are linked with evocative images, voice over, text and characterisation.   From 1st world war to the present time, these songs represent the reaction of the human spirit to the fears and pressures of wartime and the show is surprisingly full of hope, comedy and bravery, as well as a longing for peace.  This show is fast moving, entertaining and captivating.  This show ran at the Roman Eagle Lodge for the Edinburgh Festival August 2007 and toured to community venues in London and Edinburgh.
